| Don't store volatile solvent at home |
If a fire occurs, call the Fire Department right away by dialing "119", and tell fire fighters the direction, such as street, alley, floor so that fire fighters arrive on the scene promptly.
If the fire occurs, please send someone to call the Fire Service Department, while you try to put out the fire using available fire fighting equipment. Do not panic and delay calling the Fire Service Department by fleeing or attempting to recover valuables.
For minor fire incidents, use water or quilt soaked in water to put out the fire.
If the fire is caused by oil or chemicals, use a powder, carbon dioxide or bromotrifluoromethane fire extinguisher.
If a fire is caused when cooking, put out fire by using a lid or a soaked quilt.
Do not stand near the scene to avoid hindering the fire fighting.
When burning weeds or burning in the mountain area, divide the area into sections. Before burning apply for, obtain the approval of fire authorities and ensure the burning is conducted under proper supervision. When traveling or mountain climbing, do not throw out cigarette butts. While worshiping ancestors and burning paper money, carefully monitor the fire. Make sure the fire is out before leaving.
People who live in deficient water areas or areas should be alert when ambulance service cannot reach. Prepare fire extinguishers for emergency use.
Do not enter buildings that are designated as "insecure construction".
